Description
One of the main challengues has been move laboratory technologies to be deployed in real world scenarios. To achieve this, it was necessary to reduce costs and instrumentation technology while ensuring good accuracy and robustness.
Results
System for prevention of pressure ulcers of wheelchair users (patent EP3337436A1, 2015) by 1) measuring bioimpedance, temperature and moisture; 2) infering risk of appearance of pressure ulcer, and 3) triggering preventive strategies of dynamic cushioning, wheelchair tilting and electrical stimulation.
